Vimbai Nyemba, Joins the WEDO advisory board

Vimbai Nyemba, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs, has been a strong advocate for women's empowerment and entrepreneurship. She recently delivered a keynote address at the Women Entrepreneurship Day Summit held at the Hatfield Elite Academy in Harare. The summit, which brought together over 100 women, including some men, from various parts of the country, including Bulawayo, Centenary, Mashonaland Central, Chinhoyi, and Masvingo, aimed to address the legal challenges faced by women entrepreneurs.

During her address, Nyemba emphasized the importance of women being aware of their legal rights and taking action to protect them. She urged women to be vigilant and register their property rights in a timely manner, rather than waiting until it's too late. As a lawyer and entrepreneur herself, Nyemba has authored a book titled "Entrepreneurship through Procurement" and has been a vocal supporter of women's economic empowerment.

Nyemba's commitment to women's empowerment has not gone unnoticed. Unanimously, the Women's Entrepreneurship Day Organization decided to invite her to join their advisory board, citing her unwavering support for the organization. As noted by Prof Tsitsi Nyoni, a board member of the Women's Entrepreneurship Day Organization in Masvingo and a lecturer at Great Zimbabwe University, Nyemba's involvement with the organization has been invaluable.

The summit, which ran under the theme "From Passion to Profit," featured several companies showcasing their products and services. The event also marked the launch of the Women Entrepreneurship Day Organization's Harare chapter, which was officially launched by Nyemba. The organization, which has a global presence in over 100 countries, aims to empower women in communities and promote economic development.

Other esteemed speakers at the summit included Ken Sharpe, CEO of WestProp Holdings; Tabeth Chichetu, Director of Isles Zimbabwe; Vongai Makamure Nduna, Country Manager of WWF KAZA Region; Ruth Kaseke, AI Research Assistant at Bindura University of Science and Education; and David Zawi, Representative of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.

As noted by Dr. Marble Daniel of Limitless Solutions Global, the launch of the Harare chapter marks an exciting new chapter for women's entrepreneurship in the region. With Nyemba's involvement and support, the organization is poised to make a significant impact in promoting women's economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
