 Great Zimbabwe Realtors is excited to be part of the The Masvingo Business expo which is set for the 16th to the 17th of November 2023. We see this as a good interface to interact with other businesses, stakeholders and the general public to converge and talk about the real estate market and the growing investment opportunities in real estate in Masvingo and countrywide. 

Masvingo has of late witnessed refreshing insurgence of new buildings in the CBD and renewals of old buildings complemented by refurbishment of the main roads leading into the City. Bogus agents

The market has of late been flooded by individuals masquerading as Real Estate Agents. The Newsday in August reported on unsuspecting home seekers continuously losing money to bogus agents as well as land barons who are selling land which in some cases is non-existent. The Estate Agents Council (EAC) in July red flagged bogus agents, it has warned the public about proliferation of bogus agents. Great Zimbabwe Realtors urges the public to safe guard their hard earned money by dealing with registered Estate Agents. They can find a list of registered estate agents on the The Estate Agents Council (EAC) website. 

Anti-money laundering

Great Zimbabwe Realtors is governed by the Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act [Chapter 9:24.] We are guided by the minimum standards of Anti- Money Laundering and Combating Financing of terrorism (AML)/(CFT) measures for the real estate sector in order to guard against the risks of Money Laundering and terrorist financing. According to Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Money laundering refers to any act designed to disguise the illegal source of proceeds of crime to make illicit fund appear as if they came from a legitimate source. The Real estate market is exposed and at risk of being used to ‘clean dirty money” through investment in property.

Like every human organ, Hatfield Elite Academy went through growing pains. After three years of steady growing pains, the school held its first Patron and Parents’ Speech and Prize Giving Day. Patron and Parents Day brings together parents, students, and staff to celebrate the achievements of the year and honor students and staff who have distinguished themselves.
