Masvingo Business Expo Set to Delight Zimbabwe



The 2nd Edition of Masvingo Business Expo is set for the 16th of November at Flamboyant Hotel. The Business Expo is running under the theme Investment Hub Towards Vision 2030. 

The Director for Economic Affairs and investments for Masvingo Province Mr Clever Chingwara highlighted that the Expo will be an interface, between the Government departments in Masvingo and the private sector. This will be under the public private partnership arrangement. 

The Masvingo Business Expo  aims to highlight Masvingo Province’s Investment and developmental opportunities for investors, whilst also articulating  challenges they are  facing in terms of  this investment opportunity. 

The Expo also gives an opportunity to Investment Facilitating Institutions, tounderstand  procedures as well as requirements for investors. 

Furthermore, the expo’s adulation is global. In its investor netting whilst remaining local in also attracting, MDAs, municipalities and Rural District Councils. 

Various organizations are invited to exhibit at this year’s expo.  Small, medium to big corporates are invited to come and showcase their products and services at the business expo.

 Masvingo Province has seven  districts with nine  local authorities. Namely: Chivi, Mwenezi, Zaka  , Bikita Rural D, Gutu Rural District Councils, Masvingo City and Masvingo Rural, Chiredzi Town Council and Chiredzi Rural District Council. 

The Province is equidistant to three major cities namely: Harare, Mutare, Bulawayo each close to 300km respectively. It is home to the UNESCO world heritage site Great Zimbabwe Monument, one of the modern wonder of the world.  It also houses the Gonarezhou National Park,  which is the second largest National parks in Zimbabwe. 

Major water bodies like Mutirikwi and Lake Tugwi Mukosi,  the largest inland Dam in Zimbabwe is found between Masvingo Rural and Chivi District. Masvingo’s sweeteness is in  Chiredzi District where we have Tongaat Hullet, the giant sugar manufacturing company.
