Touched by The magnificence of The Victoria Falls

Image
It was during a business trip that I got to experience the majesty of the mighty Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls, is also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, which means the smoke that thunders. I took my fellow women colleagues with me. Our first port of call was the Boma dinner, where we experienced some drum beats.  Upon entrance, we were presented with an African traditional robe. In next to no time, we were immersed in the vibrant atmosphere. One of the waiters who introduced himself as Eddie took us through the  whole process of what was to take place at the Boma.  He brought some traditional African beer, including maheu as the starter. My memories were rekindled as I remembered my maternal grandmother, who sang us traditional songs. The African music signified the authenticity of “Africans”. I could feel the ambience of  Africa.  The aromas of traditional dishes and various types of game meat on the barbeque filled the restaurant. I tried to taste different types of meat and several dessert

Stress is a serious growing concern in the corporate world. In this fast-moving world, where everything is time bound, employees are usually under a lot of stress to complete tasks. This lack of balance between workplace demands and job control is the root cause of chronic and acute stress. Stressful situations may cause spike in your blood pressure temporarily, but researchers are not sure whether stress can cause long term high blood pressure. Our body produces rush of hormones in a stressful situation which temporarily increases blood pressure & causes heart to beat faster and narrow blood vessels. There is no proof that stress alone can cau

We are Masvingo

By Prof Kasese  Whatever you can vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon, must inevitably come to pass. All tangible reality is the incarnation of the thought process. The strides the so called first world has taken in their business accomplishments spring out of man’s thought and an insatiable and voracious appetite to succeed. Before their lofty cities took visible form, before their condescending industries started producing superior products, before their technological networks become a marvel, they were conceived in someone’s mind. Then they were completed in their minutest detail, and then placed on blue prints before a single stone was laid.  The same shrine of thought and vision is entrusted to our will as Zimbabweans. We have it in us as people of Masvingo Province to consecrate the vision of our President His Excellency E.D. Mnangagwa of driving Zimbabwe to becoming a middle income economy by 2030 and equall

The Real Estate market in Zimbabwe

Image
The Real estate market is one of the fastest growing sectors in Zimbabwe. With the upward surge in population and rapid urbanization, coupled with rural- urban migration the demand for housing, residential and commercial space to let, properties to buy and to let is greater than ever. Despite the current economic situation the real estate market continues to thrive. Real estate has proved to be a more secure investment opportunity which is viable in generating consistent and worthwhile returns.  About us  Great Zimbabwe Realtors is excited to be part of the The Masvingo Business expo which is set for the 16th to the 17th of November 2023. We see this as a good interface to interact with other businesses, stakeholders and the general public to converge and talk about the real estate market and the growing investment opportunities in real estate in Masvingo and countrywide.  Masvingo has of late witnessed refreshing insurgence of new buildings in the CBD and renewals of old buildings com

Hatfield Elite Academy Holds Patron and Parents Day

Image
Like every human organ, Hatfield Elite Academy went through growing pains. After three years of steady growing pains, the school held its first Patron and Parents’ Speech and Prize Giving Day. Patron and Parents Day brings together parents, students, and staff to celebrate the achievements of the year and honor students and staff who have distinguished themselves. This year was special because it was the first time all interested parties had been able to come together. Founded by ambitious school teachers, Blessing and his wife, Dr. Gallie Kawanzaruwa, and chaired by a young and ambitious 42-year-old dreamer, Mr. Thomas Chidavaenzi with experience in financial management, the school immediately suffered from the onslaught of Corona-19 virus. Only 15 students had registered when the authorities ordered the suspension of in-class activities. There were eleven teachers to be paid. Two years later, the school brought in the renowned educator and publicist, Professor Kenneth Mufuka from the
