Great Zimbabwe University gender Expert to speak at WEDO Business Conference

Prof Tsitsi Nyoni holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Languages,Linguistics and Literature from the University of SouthAfrica.Her thesis was titled A Sociolinguist Exploration of Children's Oral Art Forms on a Kaleidoscopic Cultural Terrain: A Case of Zimbabwe. Currently she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher Development at Great Zimbabwe University, Zimbabwe.Her research interests lie in Language,Literature,Indigenous Knowledge Systems,Pedagogics and Contemporary issues such as gender,child abuse and domestic violence.She has published several journal articles,book chapters and books in the sea reas.She has also done consultancy work on translation for government and non-governmental organizations.She has a passion for gender issues hence is a member of the GZU Gender Mainstreaming Committee.Her passion and expert knowledge incontemporary issues such as gender,childabuse, domestic violence and indigenous knowledge systems is her notable strength. Youth Empowerment and business incubation hub sets in motion

             Reginald Chapfunga The much awaited Youth Empowerment Hub (YEH) will start on 12 May at Masvingo Polytechnic with various mentors ready to articulate various topics to young people.   The skills development program is meant to connect the youth with various movers and shakers in industry and commerce to create an ecosystem that will propel them to greatness. The Hub will also expose youths to business and economic opportunities and link them up with various skilled and experienced mentors. Reginald Chapfunga, the board chairman of Shekinah Media which is spearheading the project, highlighted the need to keep the young people productive so that they cannot be attracted by drugs and other societal ills prevalent in Zimbabwe.
