Zimbabwean woman makes waves on the global arena

Sophie Zwizwai  has made strides on the global arena as she has defied all odds to set up businesses in the United Kingdom. Sophie who holds a BA Education from Africa University, BA Social Work from Anglia Ruskin University UK, Masters in International Social work and have completed 3 years towards a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care. A  trained teacher, and a social worker. She also  manages community work and a champion of children’s rights and welfare in Zimbabwe and globally. Having grown up and worked in rural and urban Zimbabwe and the UK, she has gained wealth of experience in a range of Educational, Social Care and Management issues across Africa and the UK. Sophie belongs to a number of professional organisations that promote the welfare and rights of children particularly those that have been disenfranchised by war, poverty and other socio-political factors. Sophie is also the Director and owner of residential and supported living accommodation for children in the UK and works as an independent social worker

Her particular passion is to see children in rural areas thrive, achieve and reach their full potential. Her vision is to  to see that these children, especially the girl child, be afforded access to all the resources that they are entitled to and need for their education and entire holistic development. ' I feel this way children will be moulded into future leaders, effective contributors within their communities, responsible citizens and positive change ambassadors.

She also owns some Boutiques in the UK.

Sophie fully subscribes to Nelson Mandela’s conviction that 'without education, your children can never really meet the challenges they will face. So it's very important to give children education and explain that they should play a role develop their country."
