 There are people who are hardly remembered during this Christmas time. These are the people who live on the streets. When people are busy preparing for their holidays hardly do we think about these people. It is against this background that helping hand a community based organisation held a Christmas party for this vulnerable group at Anglican church in Masvingo City on Sunday 4 December. Speaking at the function the chairman of  Helping Hand Mr Gerald Maguta highlighted that "it is our duty as a community to look after each other and make sure the joy we need in our lives is also extended to these people. They deserve to be happy as well.  Let's make it a tradition to help our mothers sisters brothers who are in need in our community. More than 60 vulnerable  were part of the celebration.  Helping Hand is a community based organisation whose mandate is to help the needy in communities. Last year the organisation partnered with business people in Masvingo to build a house for Mbuya Zinyemba in Nemanwa District in Masvingo Rural. She was living in a half thatched building which  would leak during rainy season. Peter Ndoro one of the patron said that he "it feels good to see the smiles of these people" The Founding members of helping hand are Mr Peter Ndoro, Sheron Marombedze, Gerald Maguta, Margaret Zizhou and Angeline Zimbwani Mikiri. Anyone is free to join the Helping Hand Movement.The Movement is operating with limited resources .It is mainly funded by its members.To qualify to be a member you only need to be some one who is willing to help.  More than 5 families joined the Helping Hand movement this year.
