Zhirahuru opens door to Masvingo Business

A new double storey building has opened in the City of Masvingo and is offering upmarket shop and office space. Situated along Shuvai Mahofa Street, near Thunder Run, the double story complex is a modern building that is owned by retired Town Clerk Adolf Gusha. The building is testament to the fact the administrator did not only preach about investment while in office but showed how it should be done if Masvingo is going to develop. “During the time I was the Town Clerk, I advocated for the construction of a minimum of two storeys in the CBD. We felt that would change the skyline of the city. The construction of Trade Centre, Junior Complex, Sunrise Mall, Musa Building bears testimony to this," he said. Zhirahuru Mall has two floors with 9 shops on the ground floor and 8 on the first. "I named the building in honour of my great grandfather Zhirahuru, whom I am told was tall and a very hard worker. The double storey is a fitting tribute to his height. We knew this would change the face of the City,” he said. The construction of Zhirahuru started in February 2014, and like all big construction projects in a challenging economic environment, took a bit of time to complete. “It has not been an easy path but we managed to complete the building in March 2022,” he said. Gusha noted that Masvingo City was a good investment destination. “With the research that I did, I can attest that those businesses in Masvingo are happy with their return on investment. Zhirahuru Complex has come at a time where is a shortage of office space in town,” said the property developer. Some of the shops at Zhirahuru have already been occupied and those in need of shops or office space to rent should contact Great Zimbabwe Realtors who are managing the property.
