Liquor Club is now open at Masvingo Down Town. It offers a variety of liquor and snacks at wholesale price. Gone are the days where retail outlets would run out of stocks. Liquor sells liquor beverages, wine and soft drinks. Club Liquor is not a bar but a wholesale outlet. We caught up with the brains behind Liquor Club Garikayi Garande. ‘We would want to cater for everyone in the community, from the low income earners, to the high income earner. We are the cheapest in town so one can come and pick their beer and go. Liquor Club is near Caravan Park and when patrons feel they want to come and have a great time at Caravan Park but they cannot afford the beer there, they simply come to Liquor Club and buy their beer then proceed to Caravan oPark, then they produce a receipt from Liquor Club. Defender paint takes market by storm Defender paint is a wholly own Zimbabwean brand situated at Masvingo Industrial site. The brand was registered in 2015 after years of research and trials. Its core business is manufacturing of paints for domestic , industrial and automotive purposes. It is the only paint manufacturing company in Masvingo Province with its products selling all over Zimbabwe. According to the managing Director Domnic Makore Nyamainashe, ‘Defender paint started on humble beginnings and we got support from some captains of Industry who believed in us. Though we faced challenges but we managed to penetrate the huge market. We now supply large wholesale giants like NRichards wholesale, Masvingo Hardware. Caught on an unlevel playing field, cities find it difficult to offers basic services such as safe drinking water, housing, and reliable transport infrastructure, among others. Therefore, many towns and cities continue to lose families and jobs to rapidly growing new suburban communities and neighbouring countries. Patricia Deena Rwodzi was born in 1940 in Hurungwe to Patrick Rwodzi snr and Elizabeth Kanyurira. My maternal grandmother was of the Mbano Matemai clan while my maternal grandfather belonged to Soko Mukanya of the Mbire Clan in Guruve in Mashonaland Central. They are known as Makorekore who later migrated to Hurungwe and later to settled under chief Chirau in Mashonaland West Province. The Western part of Zimbabwe. Prof Sunungurai Chingarande Mutanga, Appointed the new Vice Chancellor for Women University in Africa Prof Sunungurai Mutanga has been appointed the Vice Chancellor for Women University in Africa. She has taken over from the FoundingV ice Chancellor Prof Hope Cynthia Sadza. Professor Mutanga born in 1975 in Gokwe Zimbabwe. She did her primary education in Gokwe. She later did her secondary school education at Masvingo Day Secondary School before joining Hama High School for her upper secondary school where she studied Shona, Divinity and History. She was admitted to the University of Zimbabwe in 1995 to study towards a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Sociology in the Department of Sociology. Prof Mutanga graduated with a University Book prize in 1997. She then immediately enrolled for a Master of Science degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology in 1998 at the same time serving as a teaching assistant in the Department of Sociology.
