In pursuit of Greatness (part 1)

Angie Zimbwani  Mikiri (My birthday Message; Special dedication to orphans and those who feel neglected)   I grew up in Mabvuku Township in Harare. I also spent part of my childhood in Zvimba communal land in the Western part of Zimbabwe. My parents enrolled me at a group 'A' school and all appeared well for me, until tragedy struck.   At the tender age of 15, I lost my both parents in one year.     My father was the first to pass on and a few months later, my mother followed him. I remember one day sitting on my father’s grave at our rural home crying just after l had learnt of my mother’s death. I was more than heartbroken. It was a very tough situation and I cried uncontrollably. I later realised no matter the situation, life had to go on. I put myself together and began to think of what was to come after the loss of my loving parents.  The death of my parents was a big blow to me I had to adjust so as to fit my new life as an orphan.
